Placing Transactions On-hold

In SuitePOS, transactions can temporarily be placed on-hold. This is useful when shoppers need to go and grab something else, the clerk needs to process another sale or items are to be added to a tab later (eg. a restaurant). 

Instead of submitting the transaction for payment, the clerk simply puts the current sale on hold. This then places it the transaction queue for later retrieval and check out.

Retrieving the on-hold transaction:


On-hold transactions drop off once the maximum local store limit (for retrieval) is reached. This is currently set to 300 transactions. On-hold transactions cannot be removed from the local storage.

On-hold transactions can only be retrieved from the terminal used.
