Square Payments Overview
Square Payments is a great payment solution for retailers that want a modern, fast, easy to set up and a reliable gateway at competitive processing rates. SuitePOS is integrated using three methods: Square POS. Square Reader and Square Terminal.
The Square Reader or Square Terminal integration is our recommended method since the user experience is better and its easier to set up.
Currently the Square Reader integration has no support for offline card processing (not an issue for most), is only available for retailers in the USA and does not support two factor authentication (in the Square account).
The Square POS integration calls the Square POS App in a special mode to process payments. As such that Square App will need managing and setting up accordingly.
You can use Square POS, Square Terminal and Square Reader in a mixed environment.
