Apple Error: SuitePOS will not open or it is invalid or it is no longer available

All of a sudden the App may not open on your device or says it is invalid.  This can be caused by several issues.  Two of which include:

Provisioning Profile Expiration

Apple's distribution mechanism that we use means that the Provisioning Profile we use for you to access the app only lasts for one year. If this expires, you will not be able to access the app.

iOS version too old

Sometimes we have to pin our App to a specific iOS version. This means that in some cases, the app may be built for a iOS version that is greater than the one you are using.
In most cases, your Administrator will need to be contacted.

Provisioning Profile Expiration

If you are using an MDM solution, this should not effect you (typically). MDM solutions typically use whatever distribution mechanism you define using your own Apple Id (Push Certificates, Apple Business Manager).

Non-MDM (manual install)

You simply go to www.suiteretail.com/prod and download a newer version of the App that has a Provisioning Profile date in the future.  Preferably, for now, one that is the closest to your version.

iOS version too old

Install a newer version of iOS.
Since you are responsible for monitoring your own environments and distribution of our App, it goes without saying that Provisioning Profile expiration dates are important. You need to make a not of that expiration date (from the App Version) and perhaps set a reminder for a month ahead of time.
Even better, we release major versions once or twice a year. Minor versions whenever. It is always wise to keep abreast of this in order to ensure stability of the App. A MDM solution, for those customers with more than 10 terminals, is the best way of managing that.
As with any major change to your environment, please test on a limited number of terminals first.
