SuitePOS Release 5.1

STOP. Please read this article carefully before performing any upgrade.

1. A NetSuite Bundle upgrade is REQUIRED. Prior to the App update.  
   
2. A FULL SYNC is required upon App Installation. Ideally, a removal of your existing App and install of the New App should be performed
   
3. ALL TERMINALS MUST BE UPDATED TO THE NEW VERSION OF THE APP AT THE SAME TIME. Failure to do so will cause issues.
4. Please be mindful of NetSuite Script Error: SSS_REQUEST_LIMIT_EXCEEDED when doing a re-install of the app and a full-sync. Roll out to terminals carefully.
   
5. RELEASES DESIGNATED BETA. It is important that these releases are tested in Sandbox Environments first. The Customer bears the responsibility for adequate testing.

Full SuiteTax Support

For a long while we have supported NetSuite SuiteTax engine. Currently we make a call to NetSuite for the tax and this, albeit a valid method, can have some latency. Since NetSuite plan to move all accounts to SuiteTax in the future, we now support SuiteTax Override; which essentially fixes the tax from the POS Settings record (similar to what is done now for legacy taxes) without the need to make a SuiteTax call from the POS.  More Information

Change Rounding
Cash Sales and Returns can now be rounded to the nearest 5c in response to the removal of pennies from circulation. More Information

Exclude Items from Whole Order Discount

Items can now be excluded from Whole Order % Discounts. This is especially useful for low margin items. More Information

Replace Integration Layer

We used to use AF Networking SDK as the vehicle to integrate to NetSuite. This has been deprecated by the third-party author. Instead we now use Alamo Fire SDK.

Update SDK's

Various SDK's have been updated to the newer versions., These include Square, Stripe and SocketScan.

Various Minor Bug Fixes

Such as dual screen, entitlement and random crash issues.
